Our country cabins, located in the Kyogle area of the Northern Rivers are the perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Nestled beside the beautiful Grady’s Creek, these one-bedroom cabins provide you with tranquil surroundings, comfort and a touch of luxury.
We have three cabins for you to choose from: 'Serenity', Silky Oak' or 'Fern Hill'.
Features of all three cabins include a spa on the deck, fireplace, king size bed, kitchenette with stone benchtops, modern bathroom with walk-in shower, a separate lounge/dining area, flat screen Smart TV and sound bar, a coffee machine, contemporary decor, Weber BBQ, and a spacious deck with views of the creek and/or countryside.
COVID 19 - Regarding the Covid-19 Virus... Please check the Qld government website for current Qld/NSW border restrictions (we are currently in the 'Border Bubble' - our postcode 2474, is listed as one of the localities in the Border Zone).
We want to ensure the safety of our staff and guests, so please practice good hygiene whilst staying. If you are unwell or have been in hotspot in the last 14 days, please postpone your booking.
We have increased our already high standard of cleaning to help minimise any risk. Hand wash and sanitiser is provided for you to use whilst staying with us.
Wifi - Sorry, unfortunately we do not offer wifi. If you are with Telstra you will be able to access mobile internet.
Pets - Please be advised that unfortunately we no longer allow dogs or other pets at our property.
Working Cattle Property - We are located in a farming community, so there are cattle grazing in the surrounding paddocks on our property, neighbouring farmers working on their properties etc. From time to time, there may be the sound of a tractor or other machinery, burning off, mustering of cattle etc. On our property we try to restrict this to when we don't have guests staying. Sometimes this is not always possible. When exploring the property, please be mindful of the cattle, electric fences etc and exercise caution to avoid any problems. We hope that you enjoy experiencing life on a working cattle property.
Continental Breakfast Hamper - We include a continental breakfast hamper for two as standard unless you request not to receive this. We can make minor changes to this to accommodate for dietary needs/allergies (such as swapping the bread for gluten free bread and providing gluten free cereal). The standard continental breakfast hamper includes cereals, bread for toast, butter, spreads, milk, fresh fruit, yoghurt, tea and coffee, and fruit juice.
Interaction With Guests - We like to give your own space and allow you to enjoy your stay, however we may drop in just to say 'hello' and check that you are going ok. We live on the property however we aren't always home. Please call or text the mobile number provided if you need to contact us.
Fires - Sorry, unfortunately we don't allow fires on our property.
TV/DVD Player - A Smart TV and DVD player is provided for your enjoyment. Please note that we do not have normal television reception, and that it is set up for DVD's only. There is a small collection of DVD's provided in the cabin. In our deluxe cabin 'Serenity' we also have a sound bar with BlueTooth connectivity. The systems in all cabins have HDMI/USB ports.
Stereo – There is a small stereo system with BlueTooth connectivity provided in the cabin to allow you to enjoy some music while you eat a meal or simply relax. We also provide a small collection of CDs in the cabin.
Mobile Phone Reception – If you’re mobile phone service provider is Telstra, than reception at Ripples on the Creek is quite good. If you are with an alternative provider though, then reception can be very poor. Unfortunately there is no reception for Optus mobiles.
Cooking Facilities - Contained in the cabin kitchen is a full-size fridge, microwave, electric frypan, electric kettle, toaster, pod-style coffee machine, coffee plunger, microwave containers, chopping boards, various cooking utensils, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Located on the cabin deck is a Weber BBQ with roasting rack and pizza accessories. We also try to ensure there is a supply of cooking oil, salt and pepper in the pantry. The cabin 'Fern Hill' also has a double electric hotplate, however the other two cabins do not have a hotplate/stove.
Smoking - Please be advised that smoking inside the cabins is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. You are permitted to smoke on the cabin deck and other outside areas. Guests are asked to be careful when smoking, as we are located in a bushfire prone area.
Linen – Linen (including towels, swimming towels, tea towels, sheets and blankets) is provided and is serviced on a weekly basis only, however extra linen can be arranged on request for a $10 fee.
Water - Water comes from rainwater and creek water. Both have been filtered using in-line filters. Rainwater at the kitchen sink has also been filtered through a second, under-sink filter.
Laundry – There are no laundry facilities in the cabin, however there is a Laundromat located in Kyogle. Address is 27 Summerland Way, Kyogle.

1. How to Make a Reservation
You can make a reservation at Ripples on the Creek in the following ways:
Online at our website www.ripplesonthecreek.com.au
By phoning us on 0400 331 264 or +61 4 00 331 264 if calling from overseas
Through a third-party provider eg. HomeAway or Airbnb
We will require your credit card details, so please have them ready.
Once a reservation is confirmed and your deposit or full payment has been made, confirmation will be sent via email provided with the booking.
2. Booking Conditions
Reservations are subject to availability.
A deposit of 40% must be received immediately by credit card to confirm the booking. Payment of this deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.
The remaining 60% must be received no later than 14 days prior to check-in.
For bookings made inside 14 days prior to check-in, full payment is required at time of booking via credit card.
If deposit or final payment is not received by the due date, Ripples on the Creek reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Rates quoted on the Ripples on the Creek website and other third-party sites are in Australian dollars and are subject to change at any time.
Where applicable, prices listed include GST.
While every effort is made to meet your requests, we can not guarantee a particular cabin and we reserve the right to change accordingly, charges are subject to change without notice.
All prices and other payments and conditions should be confirmed at the time of booking.
Whilst we attempt to satisfy all special requests, we are unable to provide a guarantee.
We endeavour to give you an accurate description of the accommodation available. With telephone, website or mail bookings, or if a prior inspection is not or cannot be made for any reason, we cannot accept your misinterpretation of the description.
Photos shown on our website or in any other advertising media may not be specific to actual cabin allocated. Photos are indicative only. Furnishings, linen, décor etc may change from time to time.
3. Payment Options and Conditions
Credit card details are required with each reservation to guarantee the booking.
A deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking and this deposit will be taken from the credit card when you submit your booking. Payment of this deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.
These credit card details may be used to cover incidental items such as (but not limited to): any breakages, losses or damage incurred during your stay, or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning. These charges are at the discretion of Ripples on the Creek.
The remaining 60% can be paid by credit card or direct bank transfer, but this payment must be received no later than 14 days prior to check-in.
4. Cancellation/Changes to Booking Terms and Charges
All amendments to dates, cabin choice, extras etc are subject to availability and rate at the time of amending your reservation.
Deposits are refundable if bookings are cancelled 14 days or more before arrival (minus a $50 cancellation fee).
Deposits may be transferred as a credit to another booking provided cancellation is at least 14 days before arrival. In this instance, the cancellation fee will not apply.
This credit can only be held for a maximum period of twelve months from the day the booking is cancelled. To redeem moneys held in credit, customers must contact Ripples on the Creek prior to the expiry of the 12 months to rebook another stay. Moneys not redeemed at the expiry of the 12 months will be forfeited in their entirety to Ripples on the Creek.
If cancellation is made within 14 days of arrival, customer will incur a loss of the deposit paid.
If cancellation is made within 48 hours of scheduled check in time, customer will incur a 100% cancellation fee (the total value of accommodation for the period booked).
We encourage you to purchase travel insurance to cover for unforeseen circumstances that may result in needing to cancel your reservation.
If, after arrival, customers are dissatisfied with any aspect of their accommodation & decide to terminate their stay, the amount to be refunded, if any is at the discretion of Ripples on the Creek management. Please be advised that unfavourable weather conditions or burning off in the area causing smoke are not eligible reasons for a refund.
Ripples on the Creek management may use a court or collection agency for the purpose, if payment cannot be taken from a credit card.
5. Staying With Us
Standard check-in time is 2pm
Standard check-out time is 10am
Please ensure these times are adhered to so that we have sufficient time for cleaning and preparing the cabin for new guests. A fee may be charged if the cabin is not vacated by the check-out time.
A request for an early check-in or late check-out may be granted at the discretion of Ripples on the Creek management, however an additional fee of $50 may be charged in order to guarantee that the request can be fulfilled.
Please help us to provide a quality service to our customers by ensuring your cabin is left clean and tidy (including dishes cleaned and put away), and that all property contained in the cabin is left in the cabin.
The number of persons staying in the premises at any time must not exceed the number of beds supplied. Parties, get-togethers etc are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to terminate the booking if extra people are present.
If there is any problem perceived by the guest on occupation of the cabin, Ripples on the Creek management should be notified immediately, so that the problem can be rectified as soon as possible for the comfort of the guest.
Misplaced keys incur a call-out fee of $50. Lost keys must be replaced at the client’s cost being $50 per key. Please take care when leaving your cabin ensuring the cabin is locked and you put the key in a safe place.
Please ensure that air-conditioning, fireplace, bathroom heat light and BBQ are all turned off before leaving the cabin. Please do not leave candles burning unattended.
All cabins are non-smoking. If you do smoke, please do so on the deck and use ashtray provided.
Pets are not permitted on the property.
Fires are not permitted on the property.
Please assist us by leaving the premises clean & tidy (including dishes cleaned and put away, dishwasher unpacked), or additional cleaning will be charged.
In light of recent circumstances regarding Covid-19, please postpone your booking if you are feeling unwell, are awaiting test results, have tested positive to the virus, or travelling from a known hotspot.

If requiring the voucher to be posted, please allow two weeks for processing and delivery.
For email vouchers, we will do our best to send the voucher as soon as possible, but please allow 48 hours.
