Ripples on the Creek
is a 100 acre property situated on Gradys Creek in the foot
hills of the Border Ranges, 20 minutes from the township
of Kyogle, in Northern NSW.
Julie
& Neil, who own Ripples, purchased the property in August
2003 and moved onto the property in January 2004.
In November 2004, Ripples Café / Restaurant was completed
and opened for trading in December 2004.
In September 2005 Ripples two “Cabins for Couples”
were completed offering a place to escape for a romantic
getaway.
Ripples is also a working alpaca farm where visitors can
get close to, and learn about, these majestic creatures.
We currently have 28 alpacas with more crias (baby alpacas)
due in the next couple of months. Other animals you will
see around the property include two llamas (named Raylene
and McGregor), a llama alpaca cross named Shiralee, two
pigs (named Big Pig and Doris), a Scottish Highland steer
named Heysie, two miniature horses named Pearl and Gratis,
silky bantam chooks, our hand raised quaker parrot Goombie,
our two Maremma Dogs (Tonka and Tinkerbelle) and, our newest
addition, a miniature pig named Truffles.
You will also find a variety of native wildlife on the property
including birds, wallabies, koalas and platypus.
Just minutes away from the Border Ranges National Park and
the railway Border Loop, Ripples is the perfect base for
bush walkers, bird watchers and train spotters.
